This is the design for a new-construction single family house built in a Colorado neighborhood. The homeowner wants the primary feel of the house to be one of an open, sunny warehouse style house with tall (double height) ceilings and lots of room to play around with. I’ve added double height windows along the south to help control light and heat during both the summer and winter months. the tall ceilings are accentuated with exposed scissor trusses. accent walls are achieved with tile (sometimes mosaic) and a small but functional kitchen. inside the doors are a bathroom and bedroom.
