The Corner store is a collaboration with the artist @PlurpleTiger. The corner store as a typology in the urban fabric serves a critical function for resource distribution and community-making. If there were more corner stores, especially built in “food-deserts” we could increase access to food and distribute the ownership of stores into the local or community level. This one features a gender neutral public bathroom – something we could use more of as well as public benches. this building doesn’t shy away from how it can be of utility to the public.
