Burning Man Pavilion

2019 Burning Man – I entered a design contest asking for proposals for built structures acting as pavilion to the man base in the center of the event. Out of hundreds of entries, I was awarded one of three grants to make my vision come to life. The Design concept came from some of the most valuable things one can find at Burning Man: Shade and a place to sit down. The pavilions are meant to create a space of shelter, almost more spiritually than physically. A place to rest from which one can survey their surroundings in a quiet moment of awe and satisfaction.
